Sold-out crowds break static signage
A stadium signage system is built for the average crowd flow. Sold-out events aren't average.
Seat & gate confusion
Fans entering at the wrong gate cross half the stadium to reach their seat, missing kickoff. Sections are misread; ushers are overloaded with the same five questions.
Concession over-queuing
Two stands have 30-minute lines; three nearby ones have none — fans don't know they exist. F&B revenue underperforms because demand isn't routed.
Accessibility goes unfound
Accessible seating, lifts, sensory rooms and step-free routes exist — but invisible to fans who'd benefit. Day-of staff time goes to answering questions, not enhancing experience.

Common questions from venue ops
What is stadium navigation software?
Stadium navigation software helps fans find their seat, the nearest gate, concessions, restrooms, accessible entrances and parking, before and during an event. OuterMap publishes a branded fan-navigation app for any stadium or arena from its existing seating plan — no positioning hardware required.
Can fans search by seat row and number?
Yes. Fans enter their section, row and seat (or scan their ticket QR) and the app routes them from the nearest active gate. Particularly useful for concourse-to-seat navigation in stadiums where signage saturates quickly during peak entry.
How does it handle gate changes or emergency egress?
Operations can push a gate closure, an alternative entry, or an emergency egress route live from the admin dashboard. Fans see it on next app open — typically within seconds — so the experience adapts to security or weather changes in real time.
Does it support accessibility routing?
Yes. Wheelchair-accessible entrances, lifts, accessible-seating zones, sensory rooms and ADA restrooms are filterable, so visitors can find the access options that are often hard to discover on-site.
Can we re-skin it per event?
Yes. Same venue, different event branding — a major league fixture one week, a stadium concert the next. Each event can have its own colours, logo and POI content (e.g., merchandise stands, concert-only food trucks), driven from the same OuterMap admin.
