Can we integrate the OuterMap app with our existing student / staff portal?
Yes. The Enterprise plan includes SSO (SAML or OIDC) so students and staff sign in with their university or company credentials. We also expose a public API for embedding map views inside your existing portal, intranet, or LMS.
Does OuterMap work indoors for building-level wayfinding?
Yes. Upload building floor plans alongside your outdoor campus map. The Image Alignment Studio handles indoor floors, mezzanines, and multi-level buildings. Visitors switch between outdoor and indoor views from the same app.
How do we communicate construction zones or temporary closures?
Mark any path, building or area as closed from the admin dashboard, attach a reason and reopen date, and the visitor app shows it immediately on next launch. Common patterns: summer construction, weather closures, special events.
Can we handle access-controlled or private buildings?
Yes. Buildings can be marked public (anyone), staff-only, or specific-group-only. With SSO enabled, the app only shows access info for buildings the signed-in user is authorised to enter.
Can the app match our university colours and brand?
Yes — fully. iOS and Android apps ship under your institution's name and developer account, with your colours, logo, splash screen, and typography. The Enterprise plan includes full custom branding, including App Store metadata.
