Greenleaf Lake State Recreation Area
Overview
Greenleaf Lake State Recreation Area is the result of grassroots efforts to protect natural shore land and productive wildlife habitat from development. Among the area’s treasures are a unique forested island on Sioux Lake with a rare mixture of American and rock elms along with large basswood, green ash, bur and red oak seldom found in Minnesota. Visit to experience an area rich in wildlife where water, prairie, forest and agriculture all meet.
