The Peaks of the Balkans is a spectacular 192-kilometre (120-mile) circular cross-border trekking trail that winds through the remote and untouched Accursed Mountains (Prokletije). This international route spans three countries: Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro. Winning the global Tourism for Tomorrow Award, the trail utilizes ancient shepherd paths to guide hikers through dramatic high passes, crystal-clear glacial lakes, and traditional stone-house villages where time seems to have stood still.
